Kentucky gets no love in first AP Top 25 Poll

No respect.

Jason Marcum - Sea of Blue

The first AP Top 25 Poll of the 2020-21 college football season has been released, and the Kentucky Wildcats did not receive a single vote.

Yes, you read that correctly.

After getting enough votes to be considered the 37th-best team in America in the first Coaches Poll, Kentucky was not among the 45 teams to get a vote in the AP Poll.

The good news is as far as Kentucky’s 12-game schedule goes, only No. 5 Georgia, No. 13 Florida and No. 16 LSU received votes. That means the other nine opponents aren’t considered top-45 teams either at this time. So even if Kentucky really isn’t one of the 45 best teams in America, they’ll still have a ton of winnable games on the schedule, at least on paper.

However, we all know this team has the potential to not just get votes, but also crack the top 25 at some point this coming season.
