The former UK running back had a great preseason debut

AJ Rose had a solid career in Lexington, and now the former Wildcat is looking to wow NFL coaches.

He did just that in his first preseason action yesterday, as he carried the ball 25 times for 100 yards and had an 18-yard reception.

While he did need a high volume of carries to reach the 100-yard mark on the game, the Vikings seemed to like what they saw from Rose giving him that number of carries. The Vikings are pretty settled with their top two running backs in Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison, but the third spot is up for grabs, and he seems to be in the competition.

Vince Marrow seemed to like what he saw from the former Cat.

Best of luck to AJ as he contends for a spot with the Vikings!
