There’s a lot to be excited about for BBN this year, and today continuing the offseason hype by previewing this year’s team and remembering past ones “by the numbers.”

1. The jersey number of Wan’Dale Robinson, the wide receiver ready to make a big splash for the ‘Cats.

2. The jersey number of Joey Gatewood, who’s kinda important of course.

3 straight home games to begin the season, a blessing in the SEC meat grinder.

4 SEC road games: South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt. They should win at least the first and last ones.

5 straight bowls. Three in sunny Florida too!

6 game winning streak over Vanderbilt if they beat the Commodores in Nashville this year.

7 years since breaking a long SEC losing drought with wins over Vanderbilt and South Carolina in 2014.

8 games against the SEC, thankfully not 10 again like last year.

9th season for Mark Stoops at UK, making him one of the longest tenured SEC coaches.

10 wins: the high-water mark for wins under Stoops. Everyone would love to hit that again.

11 straight losses vs. Georgia, though they’ve been closing the gap.

12 games. Win them one at a time and you can win ‘em all.

13 wins against South Carolina. All time UK is 13-18-1 vs. the Gamecocks, and if they keep whipping them like they have of late they can take control of the series.

14 teams in the SEC, this year...

15 yard penalty. All Kentucky needed for the Missouri Miracle.

16 wins all time vs. LSU, a number Kentucky would like to bump up to 17 this year.

17 wins vs. Louisville for the current holders of the Governor’s Cup.

18 wins vs. Louisville for the current holder of the Governor’s Cup after this year!

1950: the year Kentucky football won a championship.

20 bowl games all time for Kentucky.

21 points allowed to NC State in the Gator Bowl last January, where the ‘Cats won by two.

22 SEC wins since the start of the 2015 season.

23 years ago Tim Couch played his last season for the Wildcats.

24. Chris Rodriguez’s number!

25 wins over Mississippi State if they win in Starkville this season.

Go ‘Cats!
