On3 Rankings selected their top-23 offensive tackle rankings for the class of 2022. While you may have expected their top recruit to be headed to Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, etc... instead the team with their top offensive line prospect resides right here in the Bluegrass. And no, it isn’t the University of Louisville.

Kiyaunta Goodwin, the No. 16 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, was tabbed as On3’s top offensive linemen for the upcoming class. Committed to Kentucky, Goodwin received a 98/100 rating from On3. The Charlestown, Indiana standout stands 6’7, 300 pounds and is the closest comparison to a brick wall that you’ll find on the high school football level.

Allen Trieu, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports, had the following to say about Goodwin.

Physical specimen who has done a fantastic job re-shaping his body. At that same time, he has worked on explosiveness and that training has gotten him moving very well at his size. Plays with physicality and intensity. Finishes his blocks. Coordinated enough on his feet to drive defenders and stay balanced. Shows he can get out of his stance quickly in pass pro. Still refining technique with his hands and punch but has all of the qualities to be a true blindside protector at the next level. Has tremendous upside and has shown the work ethic to reach his ceiling. Has the potential to be a franchise type of left tackle.

Needless to say, we’re all pumped to see what Goodwin can do in a Kentucky uniform.
