Thursday Headlines: Eric Taylor Edition

Could the talented LSU transfer consider moving to Lexington?

Kentucky could be in the market for another LSU transfer.

Class of 2020 four-star prospect Eric Taylor committed to LSU after being heavily recruited by Kentucky but didn’t see the field as a freshman. Now, the 29th ranked defensive tackle in that class is entering the transfer portal and the Wildcats could be an option this time around.

Mike Farrell from Rivals seems to think the Cats could be a contender for Taylor in the transfer portal.

Kentucky immediately came to the forefront, both because they coveted Taylor coming out of high school and of their recent success with other LSU transfers (Dare Rosenthal and Kelvin Joseph).

Farrell also had this to say.

As a four star outside the Rivals250, Taylor had a ton of potential coming out of high school as a tall defensive tackle who could play low. And that hasn’t changed. I would expect the Wildcats to push strongly here and I think he’s a Power Five talent with a ton of upside as a gap shooter.

The 6’4”, 300 pound defensive tackle is also believed to be considering Auburn, Indiana, UAB, and Troy.

He’ll definitely be a player to keep an eye on over the next week or two.
