According to the 247 Sports Composite, Cason Wallace is the No. 18 overall player in the 2022 class. He is also the No. 2 combo guard, a guy that can handle the ball and make scoring plays seemingly at-will.

Wallace recently updated his recruitment, and you will be glad to hear that the Kentucky Wildcats are still in the mix.

While Wallace has not had a flashy recruitment, he continues to be harder to read. We know for sure that there is interest in Kentucky, Texas, and Tennessee. In fact, his only official visit up until this point has been to Knoxville.

When asked about Kentucky, the Texas native talked about John Calipari’s program and his ongoing relationship with Jai Lucas.

“They are just a school that I have always kind wanted to go to, like a dream school,” Wallace told Eric Bossi of Cats Pause. “I want to see what they have to offer. I’ve talked to (Jai Lucas) since he was at Texas so I’ve known him for a while.”

He went on to tell Bossi that he is unsure about his next step. Besides another trip to Tennessee, he did not talk about any definitive plans for timelines. But he did say the final decision would come down to “seeing where [he] could love and seeing somewhere that [he] could be happy.”

Read the rest of Bossi’s article here to get even more insight into Wallace’s recruitment. In the meantime, enjoy some of his highlights to see the kind of star Kentucky is going after.
