A 5-star center will soon be on the University of Kentucky’s campus.
Nigerian-born 6-foot-10 five-star Adem Bona will make his official visit to Kentucky to meet with John Calipari and his coaching staff on August 28th, per a report from KSR’s Jack Pilgrim.
Bona expects a scholarship offer to also come on that date.

"I've arranged a visit to Kentucky on the 28th of August. I'm probably going to be offered on the 28th of August."
UK very high on the five-star center.
Bona is ranked as the third-best center in the 2022 class, ninth-best overall prospect, and second-ranked prospect in California by 247 Sports. Rivals ranks him as a four-star, as the third-best center in the nation, and 27th overall prospect. He currently attends Prolific Prep in Napa (CA).
It is unclear who leads the chase for Bona’s services, as he does not yet hold any offers, but Creighton, BYU, Kansas, Missouri, Notre Dame, USC and Kentucky have all shown interest in the talented big man.
Kentucky has yet to add anyone to their 2022 class after landing Skyy Clark in October of 2020, and the center position will likely be an area of need with Oscar Tshiebwe very likely to wind up in the NBA Draft next summer. There’s a good chance Daimion Collins does as well, and it’s hard to see Keion Brooks returning for a fourth season of college hoops, so adding frontcourt recruits is something Kentucky needs to prioritize heading into the fall signing period.
