Shaedon Sharpe announces top 10

The Cats are currently viewed as the favorite.

John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats have been hitting the recruiting trail hard the last two weeks as Peach Jam has been taking place.

One of the more impressive players during the AAU event was 2022 shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe.

In 12 games during the event, Sharpe averaged 22.6 points per game on 48% shooting overall and 36.4% from three. He poured in 20 or more points eight times, 25 or more six times, and 30 or more points twice.

Hailing from Glendale (AZ), Sharpe is currently ranked as the No. 8 overall player in the class and is the No. 2 shooting guard, according to 247 Sports Composite.

Now after the conclusion of Peach Jam, Sharpe has announced his top 10.

Other options that made the list include the Arizona Wildcats, Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, Oregon Ducks, and Kansas Jayhawks.

Sharpe officially visited Kentucky back on June 18th and during the last few weeks, the Cats have emerged as the favorite to land the 6-foot-4 guard as they currently hold all seven 247 Crystal Ball predictions.

Lexington Herald-Leader writer Ben Roberts recently reported that a final decision from Sharpe is expected to come around the middle of August with Kentucky being the likely choice.

Because Jalen Duren and Emoni Bates are expected to reclassify into 2021, Sharpe will have a chance to finish as the 2022 class’ No. 1 overall recruit.
