The recruitment of Keyonte George is coming to an end, and it looks like Kentucky won’t be the pick.
George just announced on Twitter that his college commitment will come August 8th. He previously announced a final five of the Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, Texas Longhorns, Baylor Bears, and Oklahoma State Cowboys.

George, a 6-4 shooting guard from Lewisville (TX), is the No. 4 overall prospect in the class of 2022 by ESPN, while 247 Sports and Rivals has him at No. 5. He was supposed to officially visit Kentucky in June, but that trip was canceled and never rescheduled.
Currently, the only three predictions logged at 247 are for Texas. At Rivals, the Longhorns have picked up every prediction since the school hired former Texas Tech coach Chris Beard.
Kentucky may be a finalist, but it seems they don’t have a shot at this one. That may explain recent scholarship offers to fellow 2022 guards Nick Smith Jr. and Cason Wallace, while Shaedon Sharpe appears very likely to be a future Wildcat.
