Daughtry Richardson commits to Florida State

The Cats will have to look elsewhere to add to the Big Blue Wall.

Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats have been on a tear in recruiting, but unfortunately, you can’t get them all.

Daughtry Richardson, ranked as a top-500 prospect via 247 Sports Composite, just announced his commitment to Florida State.

Richardson picked the Seminoles over Kentucky, Arizona State, and Miami. Other schools who offered a scholarship include Florida, West Virginia, Oregon, Tennessee and Missouri among others.

Despite missing out on Richardson, the Cats still hold 11 verbal commitments in the 2022 recruiting class with seven of those being top 500 prospects.

As of right now, the Cats have three current offensive line commits in Kiyaunta Goodwin, Grant Bingham, and Nikolas Hall. However, the Cats are likely not done adding to the offensive line in the 2022 class.

Adam Luckett of Kentucky Sports Radio recently noted that Kentucky is still in the hunt for 4-star Ryan Baer, high 3-star Drew Bobo, and 4-star Aamil Wagner.

Kentucky needs to continue to add to the Big Blue Wall, and there are a lot of talented options still out there that the Cats could add.
