The return of Darian Kinnard cannot be understated of just how valuable it was to the Kentucky Wildcats.
Coming into a year with a new quarterback, whomever that may be, a new offensive coordinator and new weapons on offense, you need to have a line built for that.
Darian Kinnard is the anchor of the offensive line, and was tabbed a top-50 player in college football by 247 Sports. Kinnard comes in at No. 47, maybe just a tad low, and is the No. 6 overall player on the offensive line.
No. 47 Darian Kinnard, OT, Kentucky
Kinnard is just a load at right tackle for the Wildcats. He stands 6-foot-5, 345 pounds and is among the nation’s most punishing run blockers, the lynchpin of a Kentucky rushing attack that finished 31st nationally in yards allowed per play last season despite consistently facing a loaded box. Kinnard is an excellent fit for Kentucky’s zone rushing scheme and is also good in pass protection. He’s been among the best tackles nationally for two straight seasons.
Kentucky and Liam Coen will look to evolve the offense past what we have seen for the better part of four-to-five years. With explosive receivers and a quarterback room that most programs would dream to have, Kinnard is one of the keys to a new and improved Kentucky Wildcats offense in 2021.
