Johnson has been playing for the USA Select Team to this point, and he’s impressed the coaching staff throughout his time with the team.
Johnson currently plays for the San Antonio Spurs and had a solid stat line for the team this past season. He averaged 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
Johnson will have some big shoes to fill as he will be replacing Bradley Beal on this year's team. Team USA has struggled early through a few exhibition games to get warmed up for Tokyo, but have seemed to find their footing a week or so out from their first game.
It’s always great to see former Cats succeed at the next level, and making this roster after his third season in the NBA is quite an achievement. Congrats to Keldon, and best of luck in the Olympics!
