After spending a day on campus this past week, Fredrick Douglass star receiver Dane Key has decided he wants to go ahead and check out campus for an official visit.
Nick Roush of KSR reported this morning that Key will be making the short trip to campus for his official visit this weekend. His last visit to campus happened unofficially on the first day recruiting visits were allowed to happen.
If you ask me, it sure looks like he enjoyed himself by this picture below.

Key, the son of former Kentucky Wildcats linebacker Donte Key, is ranked as a four-star recruit by 247 Sports Composite. He’s also considered a top-250 prospect in the country and a top-35 receiver in the Class of 2022.
Outside of Kentucky, the other top schools on his list include Oregon, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Virginia, Michigan State, Arkansas, Purdue, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
The lead recruiter for Key? None other than the Big Dog, Vince Marrow.
On a weekend that will feature several other big-time recruits on campus, as well as being led around by former high school teammates Jager Burton and Derek Crowdus, this weekend could make a huge difference in eventually landing a commitment from Key.
With Liam Coen’s new offense, this coaching staff is looking for those stud skill players they struggled landing in previous classes. Key is exactly that.
It’s no secret the success that Kentucky has had with in-state recruiting under Stoops. Look for his staff to roll out the red carpet to make sure Key is another one of those success stories.
