Following last season, John Calipari needed to make changes.
He did that, hitting the transfer portal hard and landing a commitment from TyTy Washington, while also revamping the coaching staff by bringing in Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman.
With all the changes, Antigua said he is seeing a different version of Calipari.
“I think it’s a combination of a lot of things,” Antigua said. “Obviously a lot the changes and those things. He’s just ready to get at it.”
That’s welcome news for much of the Big Blue Nation. Last season, Calipari seemed at his lowest, often searching for answers, desperate to find something that worked.
Hopefully this revitalized Calipari will result in success on the court and a renewed intensity on the recruiting trail.
