Saturday Quickies: Skyy Clark on Campus Edition

The elite 2022 Kentucky commit is loving his trip to Lexington.

B/R Hoops

Happy Saturday, BBN! It rained every day this week but this weekend’s weather is looking absolutely fantastic. I am looking out of my front window as I am typing this and I cannot wait to get my day started.

Speaking of getting things started, Skyy Clark started his official visit to Kentucky yesterday and things seem to going quite well for the elite guard prospect:

Skyy Clark’s visit is important on many levels. It was uncertain if he would remain committed to Kentucky after Joel Justice took the job at Arizona State as he was the lead recruiter for Clark and the family had grown quite close to Justice. The visit reaffirms that his commitment to Kentucky is solid and he isn’t going anywhere.

Secondly this is a BIG recruiting weekend for Kentucky basketball and Skyy Clark has become a recruiter in his own right. He has taken the mantle of trying to get other elite players to follow him to UK. Being there in person and having such a positive experience is extremely important. These are the first recruiting visits since COVID.

Third, his Montverde teammate Jalen Duren, the number one prospect in 2022, is reclassifying to 2021 and Kentucky is in play. Duren will visit the last week of June. While Clark and Duren won’t play at UK together, the two will be competing in the Peach Jam in July and I guarantee Kentucky will be a point of discussion between them.

Tweets of the Day

Scott Satterfield has a multitude of issues on his hands. Primarily it doesn’t seem like anybody really wants to coach or play for him. That’s one player and one coach bolting from the program in just a matter of days. There were more during the offseason as well. L’s Down, baby.

**UPDATE**

The ineptitude of Louisville football continues to be astounding and hilarious. It’s not a dumpster fire yet but said dumpster is drenched in gasoline.
