The Iverson classic had the eyes of most college basketball fans this weekend, as it is the only all-star game being played this season. Some of high schools basketball’s biggest names made the trip to Memphis this weekend to showcase their talent in front of some pro scouts, and other media outlets across the country.
For all of Big Blue Nation, fans were watching how signees Daimion Collins and Bryce Hopkins preform. But they also had their eyes peeled for point guard target TyTy Washington.
A week away from his commitment date, Washington informed Jack Pilgrim of KSR that he has narrowed his choice of schools down from six to four.

Not making the cut for the five-star guard were Oregon and Baylor.
It’s no secret the heights that Washington has grown too, stemming from his play this past season. After his decommitment from Creighton on March 11th, he has become the most sought-after guard target in the Class of 2021.
Now, with no current point guards on the roster or in this recruiting class, John Calipari has taken the lead trying to seal the deal to get Washington in Lexington next season. It seems that pitch has worked, as going into his commitment date the Cats are seen as the overwhelming favorites to land his signature.
Current Kentucky Wildcats signees Collins and Hopkins are on board with seeing Washington in Lexington next season as well.

“Come do that in Lexington.”
Pilgrim also spoke with Hopkins, and he said this to the KSR writer:
“TyTy, I’ve been talking with him a lot. He’s a good guy and he’s got a great game. Hopefully he can come over there for us.”
He followed up by saying this:
“I’ve been telling him to come join BBN. I’ve just been on him every time I see him. At least two or three times a day, I tell him, ‘Come join us, come rock with us.’”
Add in the pitch Coach Cal is throwing to Washington, and it seems like the good news is going to continue for the basketball program.
