Good morning, Big Blue Nation! The Kentucky Wildcats football team has been killing it this offseason with unprecedented recruiting, new coaching staff additions, and Vince Marrow spitting fire to the media.

But it appears as if the coaching staff may need shoring up as rumors are flying that the Michigan Wolverines may be in the market for a new assistant:

Steve Clinkscale has not only produced some extremely good secondaries for Kentucky’s defense, he’s also been a very good recruiter for Mark Stoops. He’s a rising star in the coaching ranks and I’m not surprised that he is getting offers from some blue blood programs.

The last time Jim Harbaugh came sniffing around Kentucky’s coaching staff, Vince Marrow got a hefty raise. I expect that Clink is in for one as well.

Quickies

Kentucky makes the cut for Wheeler | Cats Pause- John Calipari isn’t done with the transfer market. I’m feeling pretty good about TyTy Washington, but there’s no doubt that Cal will want one more guard. Sahvir Wheeler would be a good one.

Chris Rodriguez stirring early football buzz | WDRB- The return of Christopher Rodriguez was one of the biggest stories of the offseason for Kentucky football. We may very well have the next 1,000 yard rusher at UK.

Is this Kentucky’s hottest recruiting start under Mark Stoops? | Cats Illustrated- YES.

Breaking down Alex Afari’s game | KSR- Afari’s commitment bumped Kentucky’s class to seventh in the nation. It won’t hold but damn it feels good to type that. Speaking of...

UK has a top ten class in football recruiting | Courier-Journal- I had to link it.

UK Men’s Tennis cruises to next round | Lexington Herald Leader- The Men’s Doubles beat Cleveland State 4-1. They play Arizona in the second round today at 1:00 PM.

Pelicans blame Zion’s injury on officiating | ESPN- A completely bogus argument.

NCAA cracks down on flopping | Sporting News- I hope this actually happens but NCAA basketball refs LOVE doing the charge call motion. I’ll believe it when I see it.
