With the spring semester wrapping up as players head home for summer break, expect to see more transfers popping, one of which was revealed today.
According to Cats Pause reporter Derek Terry, Kentucky offensive lineman Nick Lewis has entered the transfer portal. Cats Illustrated reporter Justin Rowland has also confirmed the news.
Lewis, who was a redshirt sophomore this past season, came to Kentucky as a three-star recruit in the Class of 2018. The Bolles School (FL) product was the 57th-best offensive tackle and 122nd-ranked prospect in the state of Florida by 247 Sports.
Will always remember driving well over the speed limit to catch Nick Lewis for an interview as he was leaving Lexington. Caught him at Logan's Roadhouse. Has done tremendous work on his body and wish him well.

Among the schools to offer a scholarship to the towering 6-9, 320-pound tackle were Missouri, Cincinnati, Kansas, Maryland, Washington State, Memphis and Iowa State among others. 247 lists his lead recruiter as Vince Marrow.
For the last two years, Lewis has been mainly relegated to special teams. He wasn’t expected to be on the two-deep depth chart heading into next season, so you can’t fault him for wanting to find a school that offers him an easier path to immediate playing time.
