New Kentucky Wildcats basketball assistant coach Ron “Chin” Coleman is already getting Big Blue Nation fired up.
Hours after he was officially announced as one of the new coaches to join John Calipari in Lexington, Coleman posted a video that should have Kentucky fans very excited for his tenure with the program.

The standout quote from the video is Coleman promising, “many, many, many, many, many, many” more memories, special moments, championships, and good times.
Coleman comes to Kentucky after spending the last four years in Champagne under Brad Underwood, helping Illinois rise from no NCAA Tournament berths since 2013 to winning the Big Ten and earning a No. 1 seed this year.
Best known for his development of Ayo Dosunmu at Illinois, and his connections and recruiting prowess in the Chicago area, Calipari was able to make a somewhat shaky offseason turn into a very solid one that should get even better in the coming weeks.
If Chin can continue to recruit the Chicago area, which has produced talent such as Anthony Davis, Tyler Ulis, Jabari Parker, and other notable names in the recent past, then these promises might very well hold up.
Coleman is exactly the kind of guy players will run through a brick wall for. This is hopefully the start of many fun memories in Lexington for the years to come.
