The University of Kentucky Softball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday with a second loss in the Super Regional to Alabama.

The No. 3 seeded Crimson Tide defeated Kentucky 2-0 in the series to advance to the College World Series.

Kentucky finishes the 2021 season with a 43-16 overall record and fifth in the SEC while also hosting an NCAA Regional for the seventh time in program history.

This also makes the 8th Super Regional Appearance for the program under coach Rachel Lawson.

Junior catcher Kayla Kowalik landed her 100th hit of the season on Saturday, a feat never accomplished before in program history and only done seven times before in the SEC. Her season finished with a .495 batting average, leading the conference.
