John Calipari has been a man on a mission ever since the Kentucky Wildcats finished the 2020-21 season with a 9-16 record.
This offseason presented Cal with a lot of changes to be made, and he has exceeded expectations.
Arguably the biggest change has been the staff shakeup by adding Illinois assistants Chin Coleman and Orlando Antigua.
Since then, the staff has been on a recruiting spree and they are in the mix for a lot of top names.
According to Tipton Edits, the Cats are among the schools recruiting 5-star center Vincent Iwuchukwu the hardest.

The 7-foot center from San Antonio (TX) is currently ranked as the No. 24 overall player in the 2022 class and is the No. 3 overall center. Baylor is viewed as the early favorite, according to 247 Crystal Ball predictions.
Another Class of 2022 prospect that Kentucky has been recruiting hard is center Dereck Lively.

The 7-foot-1 center is currently ranked as the No. 35 overall player in the class and No. 4 overall center. As of right now, there have not been any 247 Crystal Ball predictions logged.
With the way this offseason has gone, I think it is safe to say that Cal is not going to let what happened last season ever happen again while he is the head coach.
