The summer recruiting period is starting off fast for the new Kentucky staff. After handing out several offers over the last week, one player has trimmed his list down to 11 schools, and the Cats are included.
Tipton Edits released a top 11 for class of 2022 Compass Prep (Chandler, AZ) forward Sadraque Nganga this evening.

Nganga (6-9, 205lbs), who is originally from Angola, is a former teammate of Kentucky signee TyTy Washington. He is currently ranked as a five-star prospect by 247 Sports Composite Rankings, and 16th overall in the country. He is ranked as the third-best power forward in the class.
Here is a quick scouting report by 247 Sports recruiting analyst Josh Gershon:
“Versatile post with good size and length. Solid base with strong shoulders and chiseled frame. Very skilled for young post; smooth stroke with range to three but currently best from midrange. Very good from high post where he can shoot, drive or pass. Quick first step for size and plus vision for position. Finishes with both hands. Active defender who rebounds and blocks shots; can improve consistency from perimeter and back to basket game while continuing to gain strength; projects as a high major priority recruit.”
Nganga does not currently hold a Kentucky offer, but there appears to be some serious interest between both parties. If an offer does come expect the Cats to jump to the front of his recruitment, especially with the recent connection to Compass Prep.
Currently Kentucky has one commit in the class of 2022 in point guard Skyy Clark.
