Skyy Clark schedules official visit to Kentucky

The 2022 commit will be in Lexington in just a few weeks.

This has been a whirlwind of an offseason for Kentucky basketball.

Two new members of the coaching staff, four exciting transfer commitments, numerous departures for various reasons, and lots of exciting recruiting news.

And after the decommitment of Nolan Hickman, it is always reassuring to have a signee double down on their commitment. That is exactly what Skyy Clark is doing in announcing his official visit to Kentucky coming up in June.

On Monday, Clark tweeted that he will be taking his official visit to Lexington on June 11th. Some worried that Joel Justus’ departure would potentially impact Clark’s commitment to Kentucky, but he continues to let Big Blue Nation know that he is still all-in on being a Wildcat.

There was a lot of speculation that Clark may reclassify to 2021, and given the ups and downs of the point guard position this offseason, that could have been a huge decision for the 2021-2022 roster. However, landing Sahvir Wheeler and TyTy Washington seems to have resolved that issue for this coming season.

Clark will be the centerpiece of the 2022 class, and he will be one of Kentucky’s most important recruiters over the next 8-10 months. Not only is he a stud on the court, but he is also a charismatic kid that is well liked by his peers. Him reaffirming his commitment could be huge for the future of this recruiting class.
