John Calipari has changed his staff a lot this offseason with the addition of Illinois assistants Orlando Antigua and Ron “Chin” Coleman.

Now that the hires are official, we now know the details of the contracts each coach received.

According to the Courier Journal, Kentucky is set to pay Antigua $850,000 next season, and Coleman will earn $450,000 for a total of $1.3 million. That is $450,000 more than previous assistants Tony Barbee and Joel Justus.

Antigua will be getting a $25,000 raise for each of the three years resulting in a $900,000 salary in 2023-24 making him the highest paid assistant coach in the country.

As for Coleman, he will receive a $50,000 raise each year through 2023-24 earning $550,000 in the final year.

If Antigua or Coleman leave Kentucky, before June 30, 2024, for any position other than a college or professional head coaching position, they will owe the university $250,000 for each year remaining on the contract.

However, if either coach takes a head coaching position elsewhere then they would owe $100,000 for each remaining year.

The university also agreed to pay the $20,000 buyout owed by Antigua and the $78,750 buyout owed by Coleman.
