Less than two weeks ago Iowa guard, Kentucky product C.J. Fredrick entered the transfer portal. The redshirt sophomore is rumored to have the Kentucky Wildcats on his mind with little distraction towards any other landing spot.
According to Shawn Smith of Big Blue Country, Fredrick is closing in on a decision with Kentucky still favored to land the former Covington Catholic sharpshooter.

In two years with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Fredrick averaged 10.2 (freshman) & 7.5 (sophomore) points per game. While his shooting numbers were nearly identical between the two seasons, he actually saw his playing time decrease in his second year at Iowa due to a foot injury that plagued him from January through the end of the season.
After shooting at least 46% from behind the arc both seasons, his range would be an incredible addition for the Wildcats. And who doesn’t love a former Sweet 16 star wearing Kentucky blue? There hasn’t been any word on when a decision will come, but all signs point to Kentucky as Fredrick’s desired landing spot.

Let’s be honest... does anyone even like the commissioner? At least he’s not Mark Emmert, though.
