The Kentucky Dad Podcast welcomed Steve Rummage on the show as this week’s guest.
You may have heard his voice on the airwaves at some point over on 93.9 The Ville where he co-hosts a mid-day radio show with former Louisville Cardinal, Marques Maybin.
Much like A Sea of Blue’s very own James Streble — Steve Rummage facilitates some of the pregame coverage for Louisville basketball and football games.
In combination with being a proud father, another big reason that I wanted to invite Steve on the Dad Podcast was that the guy know how to properly execute the rivalry.
Despite being a die-hard Cardinal, I’ve always appreciated his approach to the infamous Kentucky/Louisville rivalry. Steve doesn’t take himself to seriously and is a great follow (@StevenRummage) on Twitter.
We touched on a little bit of everything during this episode.
The regular topics were covered and of course some detours were taken along the way, including a random commercial for the home improvement store Menards. If you aren’t familiar with the massive big box retailer that recently penetrated the market here in Kentucky, then we have you covered with our fatherly expertise.
Steve didn’t hold anything back on the podcast which made for some honest dialogue around the real struggles we all face as parents. As the Dad of two boys and husband to a traveling nurse, you can imagine how hectic Steve’s schedule gets which is something we can all relate to — parents or not.
You’ll hear about his recent body transformation and how being involved with his church saved his life in many ways. Terrific stuff.
I encourage you to give this Cardinal a chance and listen to this episode of the Kentucky Dad Podcast.
You won’t regret it.
Thanks to Steve for taking some time out of his week to join us. He’s also a loyal listener of the podcast which made me feel extra special.
