The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball 2021-22 roster is nearing completion as several NBA Draft decisions have been made, one player transferred out, three high school seniors signed, and two transfers are on board.
What remains to be seen is the futures of Davion Mintz and Keion Brooks, whether or not Isaiah Jackson will return for a sophomore season after he tests the NBA Draft waters, and if the Cats will add another transfer, and perhaps another potential high school prospect in TyTy Washington.
As of now, the UK depth chart currently looks like this:
Point Guard
- Nolan Hickman (Incoming Freshman)
Shooting Guard
- Dontaie Allen (Redshirt Sophomore)
Small Forward
- Kellan Grady (Graduate Transfer, Davidson)
Power Forward
- Jacob Toppin (Junior)
- Bryce Hopkins (Incoming Freshman)
- Lance Ware (Sophomore)
Center
- Oscar Tshiebwe (Redshirt Sophomore transfer from West Virginia)
- Damion Collins (Incoming Freshman)
Justin Rowland of Rivals offered his own roster prediction with potential additions via the transfer market, high school recruitment, and potential returns of Mintz and Brooks.
Best case realistic scenario from known options at this point has to be:
— Justin Rowland (@RowlandRIVALS) April 19, 2021
TyTy Washington
Davion Mintz
Nolan Hickman
CJ Fredrick
Kellan Grady
Dontaie Allen
Jacob Toppin
Keion Brooks
Bryce Hopkins
Daimion Collins
Lance Ware
Oscar Tshiebwe
Very interesting team (had Ware twice)
