A Kentucky Wildcats signee and target are among the handful honored by MaxPreps on their annual All-American teams.

Kentucky signee Daimion Collins was named to the 2020-21 MaxPreps All-American First-Team while also being named the MaxPreps Texas Player of the Year. He averaged 35.2 points, 14.4 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 6.2 blocks for Atlanta High School as a senior.

UK target Ty Ty Washington was also honored by MaxPreps. The high school senior point guard also made the First-Team All-American squad as the Chandler Arizona standout averaged 24 points with seven assists and six rebounds.

Washington, who was originally committed to Creighton, has reopened his recruitment and is expected to release his final five at some point this week. Kentucky is among the schools to offer him and are expected to make his final list. There are no 247 crystal ball projections in for him, but Travis Graf of Cats Illustrated recently placed a future cast in Kentucky’s favor for the five-star point guard.

Below is the full MaxPreps All-American team:

  • Kennedy Chandler (Tennessee Volunteers)
  • Daimion Collins (Kentucky Wildcats)
  • Jalen Dunn (Uncommitted Class of 2022)
  • Chet Holmgren (Uncommitted Class of 2021)
