Jamal Murray has been well on his way to being a star in the NBA. He talent was put on full display in the NBA playoffs last season as he scored 31.6 points per game in an exciting run for the Denver Nuggets in an exciting series with the Utah Jazz.

This year, he has averaged 21.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game while shooting over 40% from behind the three-point line.

But on Monday night, his season came to an end, as he suffered a torn ACL in Denver’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, the team announced Tuesday.

With only 50 seconds left in the game between the Nuggets and the Warriors, Murray went to the basket and immediately when down grabbing his knee. It was obvious that the pain was immense, and it was an unfortunate seen that has resembled many similar injuries that have turned out to be serious.

Despite being offered a wheelchair, Murray declined and hopped off of the court with support.

Here’s to hoping Murray makes a speedy recovery and is able to return to action sometime this fall/winter.
