Will Kentucky football’s 2022 recruiting class top the previous loaded classes of 2015, 2016 and 2020?
Mark Stoops thinks it has a chance,
In his Saturday press conference, Stoops voiced confidence in the potential of the 2022 class saying, “Big picture recruiting, I think it’ll be one of the best — when it’s all said and done I think it’ll be one of the best years we’ve had. So I feel very good about where we’re going and some of the guys we have in place.”
This message comes one day after 4-star quarterback and the top prospect in the state of Kentucky Gavin Wimsatt committed to Rutgers, despite a heavy push from Vince Marrow and UK.
So far, the Cats have landed commitments from a pair of 4-stars in athlete Jeremiah Caldwell and Paintsville offensive tackle Grant Bingham. They’ve also landed 3-star defensive back Andre Stewart and Corbin 4-star athlete Treyveon Longmire, as well as Pro Kicker’s top-ranked prospect Jackson Smith.
With Wimsatt no longer in the picture, Kentucky now have their eyes set on upcoming decisions from three 4-star prospects in brothers Keaten and Destin Wade, as well as Kiyaunta Goodwin.
