The Kentucky Wildcats ended the regular season with a dominating win over the South Carolina Gamecocks, as they put up a season-high in points with the 92-64 victory.
Now, it is time to turn our attention to the SEC Tournament next week in Nashville. In order for Kentucky to make the NCAA Tournament, they will have to go win four games in four days.
Davion Mintz had an outstanding game for the Cats Saturday as he finished with 20 points on 7/13 shooting including 6/11 from three to go along with seven assists, and five rebounds.
Mintz has now been moved to the point guard for this team and so far, it has worked to perfection.
After the game, Mintz was asked if a game like this can provide a spark heading into Nashville or if it is too late in the season.
Mintz delivered a drop-the-mic quote to end his press conference:
“It’s never too late. I’ve got faith. God is real, and things happen for a reason,” Mintz said following his big performance in what may have been his final game at Rupp Arena. “If we have a chance to go out there and play for 40 minutes, it’s never too late. We’ll see next week.”
