UK Hoops opens its NCAA Tournament run today with a matchup against Idaho State at 2 p.m. today.
Coach Kyra Elzy and the Cats enter as a 4-seed in the tournament to face off against 13-seed Idaho State, who comes in with a record of 22-3 and the Big Sky Champions.
Of course, the Wildcats enter today with a 17-8 record following a difficult regular season where they played 11 games against teams in the tournament field.
This will be a tough first-round matchup for Rhyne Howard and the Wildcats, so they definitely can’t be caught looking ahead to the Round of 32.
Today’s game will be televised on ESPN with Courtney Lyle and Carolyn Peck calling the game. Darren Headrick will have the call on the UK Sports Network on 630AM WLAP in Lexington.
Go Cats!
