The defending NCAA national champions are no more.
After a fairly tame day of NCAA Tournament games Saturday that saw higher seeds go 9-0 leading into the evening games, the Ohio Bobcats pulled off not just the biggest upset of the day but the entire Big Dance.
The 13th-seeded Ohio Bobcats pulled off a shocking 62-58 win over the 4th-seeded Virginia Cavaliers, who also won the last championship crowned in college hoops after last season’s NCAA Tournament was canceled.
OHIO COMPLETES THE UPSET

After going down 38-31 in the second half vs. the Cavaliers, Ohio stormed back to take a 47-40 lead and never looked back en route to a 62-58 triumph over the defending champs.
Making this upset even more shocking was that Ohio was playing in its first NCAA Tournament since the 2011-12 season (that was a fun year), so there was nearly a full decade since the last time the Bobcats won a game in March Madness.
The best part was Jason Preston and his amazing story of perseverance. He finished the game with 11 points, 13 boards and eight assists.
Well done young man. Go Bobcats!
NO MORE PERFECT BRACKETS!
