The Cats take the floor tonight in Oxford.

NCAA Basketball: Kentucky at Tennessee Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

The Kentucky Wildcats will look to get back on the winning track as the SEC Tournament draws near as they take the floor in Oxford to go up against the Ole Miss Rebels.

The Rebels had picked up some momentum late in the season, winning five of six but are coming off of a bad loss Saturday against Vanderbilt who was playing without Dylan Disu and Scotty Pippen Jr.

Ole Miss sits at 8-8 in SEC play, good enough for 6th in the conference, so Kentucky could make some progress moving up the SEC standings if they were to pick up a win.

However, the Cats will have to keep Rebels G Devontae Shuler in check. Shuler is the leading scorer for the Rebels, averaging 16 points per game and is coming off a 25-point performance in Saturday’s loss.

Romello White, a transfer from Arizona State, will also be a player to watch out for. The senior forward is averaging 11 points per game but is coming off a 17 point, 8 rebound performance on Saturday.

This is a very winnable game for Kentucky, and one that will be needed if Kentucky wants to move up the SEC standings.
