It’s one of the most exciting times of the year when it comes to college football recruiting. It is recruiting list season ladies and gentleman, and it just so happens the Kentucky Wildcats made the cut for another top prospect.
Monday evening, 2022 four-star defensive end Zac Swanson out of Brophy Prep in Phoenix (A) cut his list to four schools, and the Cats made the cut. Alongside them are the Texas Longhorns, USC Trojans and Oregon Ducks.
I want to thank all the schools who have given me the opportunity to further my football career. It is truly humbling. I will be focusing on the following schools!! pic.twitter.com/ok8jeYM1vB— zac swanson (@zacswanson4) March 2, 2021
Here is what Swanson had to say about Kentucky to Brandon Huffman of 247 Sports:
“Kentucky is put in there because I think it is a school on the rise. It is also a recent offer and I have talked a little bit about scheme and they want me playing field end which really interests me. It’s also a school that really teaches you how to be a man and work for the things you want. Because it is more recent, I haven’t been able to do much but I have been able to look through the website and take a virtual tour and it is a school that really catches my eye. I also have been talking with coach (Brad) White and can tell he wants the best for me along with all the other coaches.”
There hasn’t been a time frame put out for a commitment, but the longer the Cats can draw this recruitment out with it being such a recent offer the better. Especially considering all three other programs our our west.
Swanson is listed at 6-4, 255 pounds. According to both Rivals and 247, he is a four-star prospect and a top-30 strong-side defensive end in the country.
