A surprising move by the senior wideout.

The second wide receiver of the week has decided to transfer out of Lexington.

Matt Zenitz of al.com reported this afternoon that Kentucky Wildcats wideout Allen Dailey has entered the transfer portal.

Dailey, a senior from Pinson, (AL), joins Bryce Oliver as the second wideout to decide to leave the program this week as spring practice has just gotten underway.

Last season, Dailey started in all 11 games and had 14 receptions for 139 yards with one touchdown.

In what is an important offseason as new offensive coordinator Liam Coen installs his new scheme, losing a veteran player like Dailey stings a little bit. But with over 15 receivers on the current roster, it was only a matter of time before some attrition to that position room started to happen.

With the losses of Dailey and Oliver, that now leaves a big question mark on the position outside of Josh Ali and Wandale Robinson, giving plenty of room now for some of the younger guys to make an impression this spring.

Dailey is a former three star recruit that chose Kentucky over offers from Louisville, Arkansas State, Toledo, and UAB.
