John Calipari is one of the top faces of college basketball.
Over the last 30 years, he has competed at the highest level, and put his teams in the position to compete for National Championships, no matter the program.
Well, obviously this year was vastly different.
In what was his first losing season in 30 years, back to his days at University of Massachusetts, Coach Calipari has already started to mentally prepare for what many hope will be a strong bounce back season next year.
If you listened to him his radio show Monday night, you heard exactly what you wanted to hear as a fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
“Enjoy your time now. Next year’s gonna come soon enough.”

This postseason has already been flooded with content about Kentucky missing the NCAA Tournament. They are a perennial power and a name that fans expect to see on the cover when they look at the NCAA branding. Coach Cal has seen it all and sounds fully committed to turning the ship around in the 21-22 season.
He also mentioned some changes to his offseason workout style, as well as a slight philosophy change that should be shown on the floor next season, as he talked about finding skill and not just pure athleticism.
Either way, for all the people out there that enjoyed this down year from a Calipari-coached team, it sounds like you might have brought out a fire from him.
Swaggy Cal is back people. Enjoy it!
