The Kentucky Wildcats take the floor in Nashville today, hoping to pick up their first win of the SEC Tournament as they take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs for a spot in the quarterfinals.
The Wildcats picked up a victory in the only matchup between the Wildcats and the Bulldogs this season. That victory came back on Jan. 2, the SEC opener for the Wildcats.
Many fans remember that as the game that Dontaie Allen came off the bench and knocked down seven threes to lead Kentucky to a double-overtime win.
John Calipari was also ejected in that game.
Now, the Wildcats will need to pick up another win today to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive for another day.
The Bulldogs come in at 14-13 and 8-10 in the SEC, just half-a-game behind the Wildcats in the SEC standings with the winner taking on Alabama tomorrow.
The Cats will have their hands full with a Bulldogs team also coming in that also needs to win the SEC Tournament to reach the NCAA Tournament.
It’s an early tip for Kentucky, with the game starting at Noon ET.
