After seeing the debacle at home against the Tennessee Volunteers this past Saturday, it’s hard to not see this season as a catastrophe.
The Kentucky wildcats have found every single possible way to lose a game this year. It’s unfortunate, but will it get better?
This team has the tools to be successful, but when it comes down to crunch time, they fall apart. A lot of it can be blamed on outside circumstances, but at some point the finger has to be pointed at John Calipari and his scheme for these players. And Terrence Clarke is likely out for the rest of the season.
The biggest head scratcher on Saturday is seeing that Isaiah Jackson only played 12 minutes. Initially, the thought was foul trouble, but he only had two the entire game. It’s just been a miserable trial and error run so far for Calipari in what’s easily been his worst season in Lexington.
As for the Razorbacks, they’re actually having one of their better years. They’re sitting at 14-5 overall, 4th in the SEC with a 6-4 record and their NCAA Tournament chances are very good at the moment.
Justin Smith and Moses Moody can put up points with the best of them, and their defense is much improved from last season.
What do you think, will the Cats pick up their first win in over seven games or will their season continue to dwindle? Let us know in the poll and comments below!
