The Tampa Bay safety took some time to talk to Andy Sweeney and James Streble.

Mike Edwards has certainly made a name for himself in the NFL. The former Kentucky Wildcats star may have been the last player to pick off Drew Brees, he had a very important interception against Aaron Rodgers, and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday in the Super Bowl.

Edwards took some time out of his busy Super Bowl week to join Andy Sweeney and myself on The Take on ESPN 680/105.7.

Here is what we discussed:

  • How did Mark Stoops convince him to come to Kentucky when the program was in rebuild mode
  • What life on campus was like during the 10 win season
  • Is Gronk as wild as we think
  • What is it like having a locker close to a legend like Tom Brady
  • And my nine year old son got to ask him a question

Mike Edwards also launched a website where fans can buy Badger 7 gear and support the Kentucky star.
