It’s a big day for the Kentucky Wildcats football and men’s basketball teams.
It’s National Signing Day for the Football program, and the Wildcats are hoping to pick up a signature from Trevin Wallace, a fringe five-star linebacker prospect who will choose between Kentucky, Georgia, Auburn, and Ole Miss.
Landing Wallace today would be one of the biggest wins of the Mark Stoops era in terms of recruiting, as Wallace is viewed as one of the best inside linebackers in the country and hails from the state of Georgia.
Inside linebacker is a position where Kentucky certainly could use some depth and Wallace could be a player that finds his way onto the field as a true freshman.
Kentucky locked up most of their class in the early signing period, so the main focus for today will be on Wallace.
On the basketball side, John Calipari’s Wildcats squad is on the road in Columbia, Missouri after a COVID pause.
Coming off of the COVID pause, the Wildcats will look to come out and beat a ranked Missouri team on the road to jumpstart some momentum heading into the final stretch of the schedule.
We really don’t know what to expect in terms of who will be playing tonight after John Calipari’s unusual comment about the roster during a press conference yesterday, but we’ll see who takes the floor tonight.
Tip off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
