Pollard, from Ravenwood High school in Brentwood (TN), cuts his list to six schools after holding offers from over 30 programs. He is listed as a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports, but he’s listed as a four-star prospect according to Rivals. Listed at 6-2 and 180 pounds coming out of his junior season, you can see why some big names in the sport are trying to get him on their campus.
Built similar to the more prototypical cornerbacks that Mark Stoops’ typically likes to have on the field for his defense, he uses his length to close the gap in coverage, as well as shows good containment whether playing man or zone coverage. Showing good speed and footwork he is positioned to make another impact for Ravenwood in his upcoming senior season.
Pollard finished last season with 35 tackles, including three for a loss.
Kentucky was one of the first Power 5 programs to extend an offer to Pollard, and since then he has seen his recruitment take off throughout the last year. This should be a recruitment to follow throughout the next several months to see if the Cats can win out a commitment.
