Kentucky now looks like a team capable of winning the SEC Tournament

Kentucky is starting to turn things around.

The Kentucky Wildcats went into Knoxville and completely dominated the Tennessee Volunteers 70-55 for their third consecutive win.

A big difference in their last three games has been the success from three-point land. We all know how much of a struggle shooting has been, but it seems like they have found a rhythm as they are 26/64 (40%) in their last 3 games.

Against the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Cats were 24/25 (96%) from the free throw line and they carried that into Saturday going 17/20 (85%) on free ones.

The defense has always been there for the Cats, but the issue was they were struggling to score 50 points in a game.

Those issues have started to subside in recent weeks as they are scoring at a much higher rate and we are seeing the effects as they are on a 3-game winning streak.

With an 8-13 record, it is obvious that Kentucky will have to win the SEC Tournament to make the NCAA Tournament.

However, with the way they have been playing the past two weeks this team now looks like they are capable of winning the SEC Tournament.

If this team continues to trend this way, then this could be one of the more exciting SEC Tournaments in a long time.

Tuesday night’s game against the Texas A&M Aggies has now been canceled, and Kentucky won’t add a replacement game this week.

As of right now, the Cats will be in action again next Saturday when they face the Florida Gators. That game will start at 4 pm ET and will air on CBS.
