Smith is a 2022 prospect from Sherwood, Arkansas, who ranks 25th overall in the 247 Sports national rankings and is known for having a “pure outside jumper”.
The sharpshooter confirmed Stock Risers’ report in an interview with ZAGSBLOG, saying, “We’re (Kentucky and Smith) having more conversation. The culture around there [is what appeals to me].”
Per a report from Tipton Edits Monday, Smith will include UK in his not yet released final five, despite not yet having an offer from the Cats.
In addition, 247 Sports recruiting analyst Travis Branham has logged a prediction in favor of Kentucky to land Smith.
In January, he announced a top 10 that did not include Kentucky. Rather, it consisted of Arkansas, Kansas, Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgetown, Baylor, Oral Roberts, Texas Tech and North Carolina.
