Finally, after four straight losses, the Kentucky were able to muster up a victory over the Auburn Tigers last Saturday.
Now, they have a chance to pick up consecutive victories as they take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville tonight.
The last time these two teams met, it was a back-and-forth game that came down to the wire as the Cats were able to pull it out, thanks in large part to Davion Mintz’s game-winning triple in the final minute.
Commodores star Scotty Pippen Jr. may have scored 18 points, but Kentucky did a good job limiting the capabilities of his game, especially in the first half.
As for the Cats, they were able to withstand a late run made by Auburn last weekend to secure the victory in another close one. Isaiah Jackson had his best game of the season, finishing with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Brandon Boston Jr. added 17 points, and Keion Brooks Jr. did a little bit of everything to finish with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. It was great to see this team pick up a win, and I’m sure it will help them finish out the season on a strong note.
What do you think? Will Kentucky continue their winning ways or will Vanderbilt get revenge from the last game? Let us know in the poll and comments below!
