It’s no secret that college basketball’s traditionally top teams are struggling this year. We all know the problems Kentucky has had and Duke’s best player opted out of the rest of the season on Monday.
With all the struggles from the blue bloods, you can now bet on which legendary coach will leave their position first.
On Tuesday, Bovada released odds on which college coach will leave their current position first. The options include Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, North Carolina’s Roy Williams, Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, or Kentucky’s John Calipari.
Calipari is the youngest coach on the list and the only one with what’s essentially a lifetime contract, so he has the biggest longshot odds at +650. However, the oldest is Boeheim, and he is the favorite to be the first one to leave at -275.
Here are the listed odds for each of the five legendary coaches:
· Jim Boeheim: -275
· Mike Krzyzewski: +400
· Roy Williams: +500
· Tom Izzo: +500
· John Calipari: +650
I would agree that Boeheim is the clear favorite to be the first to leave of these coaches. Let us know in the comments section if you agree with the odds for each of these five coaches to leave.
