Following a visit to Lexington this weekend, the Kentucky Wildcats have extended an offer to 5-star power forward Kwame Evans Jr.
Evans announced the news with a tweet Saturday evening:

Evans is currently a high school junior at the infamous sports powerhouse Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. He is one of the top prospects in the entire 2023 class as he ranks as the top power forward in the nation and second-best overall prospect in the class in 247 Sports rankings. The power forward is 6-foot-9 and 200 pounds.
Kentucky is, of course, one of several teams in the race for Evans services as he already holds offers from Maryland, Ohio State, Auburn, Indiana, LSU, Illinois and several other big-name programs. He most likely will hear from every blue blood eventually.
His visit, however, appeared to have gone well as he now has an offer in hand from John Calipari ahead of his junior high school hoops season.
