Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats are putting together an outstanding recruiting class as it already includes one five-star, eight four-stars and six three-stars.
Just last week, Stoops added 4-star wide receiver Dane Key. And in an interview with Kentucky Sports Radio, Key noted that he won't be the last to join.
Key discussed that he has two prospects he is really pushing to join him at Kentucky. One of those is 4-star offensive tackle Aamil Wagner.
“The guy we’re working on now is Aamil Wagner, Ahmad Wagner’s little brother,” Key said. “We’re trying to get him right now, he’s one that’s uncommitted.”
Wagner was also the first player that Key mentioned on Friday after he announced his own commitment to Kentucky.
“We’re trying to get Aamil Wagner now,” Key said on Friday. “That’s who we’re going to get, that’s who I’m going to start recruiting really hard so he can play with me at the next level.”
Wagner is set to make his college decision on November 11th and will be picking between Maryland, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Kentucky.
The other prospect that Key is heavily recruiting to join him in Lexington is 5-star wide receiver Barion Brown, who is currently ranked as the No. 14 overall player in America.
“We’re trying to get Barion Brown,” Key said. “We’re gonna get him. I know we’re gonna get him.”
Just last week, Brown confirmed that he is going to be signing during the early signing period, which means a commitment announcement will be in the near future.
Kentucky has the potential to land their best recruiting class in the history of the program, and two more pieces could be added to the puzzle very soon.
