No, you don’t need any glasses or contacts. The Kentucky Wildcats stomped a mudhole in the LSU Tigers and walked it dry on national television. In football.
Kentucky led at one point 35-7.
It was about as impressive of a performance I have ever witnessed a UK football team have. Will Levis played a phenomenal game, totaling five touchdowns and playing arguably his best overall game in his short time as UK quarterback.
The defense, while they let up late in the fourth quarter, played another fantastic game aside from a few big plays going LSU’s way.
Kentucky starts the season 6-0 for the first time since 1950 and is already bowl eligible at the midway point of the season.
Kentucky travels to Georgia next week for what is sure to be a battle for the SEC East and a presumable trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
With a dominant win over an SEC power, Kentucky could be knocking on the door of the top-10, sitting up another top-10 showdown with the Dawgs.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the LSU beatdown:
We're 6-0!

Never thought I would see the day I would see a Kentucky team physically manhandle LSU

Mark Stoops for President
They're playing Callin' Baton Rouge at Kroger Field in a 42-21 victory over LSU. This is Kentucky Football Nirvana.

Kentucky has now won 8 straight games, including 5 straight in SEC play, dating back to the final two games last season.

The excuse that this team has been “lucky” to win these games only goes for so long. You can’t question a 6-0 start, 4 of those wins coming from the hardest conference in America. This Kentucky team is legit. And if you dont believe me, how about a twenty-point plus win over LSU.

Last two weeks, Kentucky has played Florida + LSU.

They were the physically more impressive team in both those games.
That wouldve been inconceivable just a few years ago.
Again, Mark Stoops build of UK remains one of the most under-appreciated CFB accomplishments of my life
