As the Kentucky Wildcats try to finish off their 2022 class, another scholarship offer just went out in 2023.

This weekend, UK is hosting top-five recruit Mookie Cook for an official visit. Cook has since announced an offer from the Wildcats.

Not long after Cook was offered, UK picked up a Rivals FutureCast from Travis Graf.

Cook, weighing in at 6-foot-7 and 200 pounds, began his high school career at home in Oregon via Jefferson High School, home of former Wildcat Terrence Jones. He’s now playing at Compass Prep in Arizona, home of current Wildcat TyTy Washington, so there’s UK connections at each of Cook’s high school stops.

Among the other schools who’ve offered Cook are UCLA, Kansas, Oregon, USC, Arizona and Auburn among others. UK assistant Chin Coleman is Cook’s primary recruiter.

Rivals ranks Cook as the second-best prospect in the 2023 class behind only DJ Wagner 247 Sports has him as the fifth-ranked prospect in the class.

Cook joins, DJ Wagner, Reed Sheppard, Elijah Fisher, J.J. Taylor and Mackenzie Mgbako as 2023 recruits to score UK offers.
